Crocheted Cotton Square Pattern (Free Download)
My friend, Cheri, asked me to share the pattern that I used to make the cotton squares that I had listed in my shop update because she likes to crochet. I thought that there might be others who are interested in it as well so I am sharing it with you on my blog.
I did not create the stitch pattern, but I did figure out how many to chain and how many rows it took to make a square this size by modifying the pattern that my Grandmother uses for her lap robes.
I love to use these cotton squares in so many different ways:
To catch drips of tea when I pour from a teapot into a tea cup.
Place under vases of fresh flowers or potted plants.
Under teacups and saucers to add beauty to the experience.
Under glass bottles of homemade cleaning spray.
Trivets under serving dishes on the table.
My daughters even like to use them as pretty cleaning rags for chores!
You have plenty of time to make some of these to give as Christmas gifts!
Happy crocheting!
